Friendly Remedies, Friendship Village’s on-site pharmacy, could accurately be called Friendly, Convenient and Accommodating Remedies. 

Operated by Symbria, the pharmacy and shop offer residents and employees of the senior living community easy access to the medications and supplies they need.

Friendly Remedies is conveniently located on the main floor of Friendship Village, close to the pool, fitness center, and restaurants. Individuals having questions or concerns have telepharmacy access to licensed pharmacists via webcams in private consultation rooms. 

Justin Garcia cordially provides the friendly and accommodating components of the operation as he fills and distributes orders, answers questions, addresses problems, and, if requested, makes deliveries directly to apartments.

In addition to medications, Friendly Remedies stocks essential everyday items, including toothpaste, mouthwash, detergent, etc. “This makes things easier for the residents,” said Justin. “People tell us it’s very convenient, and they appreciate it. They’ll let me know if we’re not carrying something they’d like, and we’ll try to order it for them.”

Justin, who formerly worked for a retail pharmacy, said as a “people person,” he enjoys being at Friendship Village. “I know the residents, and I like interacting with them regularly. They always wave to me if they’re passing by. I always make sure to smile at them in case they’re having a bad day and need a smile.”
