Friendship Village Earns Daily Herald Recognition

For the twelfth time and eighth time respectively, Friendship Senior Options’ senior retirement communities Friendship Village of Schaumburg and GreenFields of Geneva were named “Best Retirement/Assisted Living Communities “in the Chicagoland area’s Daily Herald Readers’ Choice Awards.

Friendship Senior Options is the parent organization of Friendship Village and GreenFields.

“With many choices for senior living, it is rewarding to be called ‘the best’ for so many years. We have a long commitment to consistently delivering quality services to older adults and are proud to have our efforts recognized,” said Patricia Mash, Vice President of Planning and Marketing of Friendship Senior Options. “The Daily Herald is the third-largest daily newspaper in Illinois and has a large and very knowledgeable readership. The fact that its readers repeatedly choose us for this honor reinforces our reputation as a nationally recognized leader providing excellent senior-centered services. These awards are a testimony to our exemplary high standard of distinction.”

For the 4th time, Friendship Senior Options also received an award for being the “Best Place to Work” in Daily Herald Readers’ Choice Awards. “Our employees are always our most valuable resource, and this has been especially the case over the past year. We are gratified that our commitment to offering a positive work environment that is fulfilling and inspiring is successful,” said Mash. “Our staff members are all, truly heroes, and we’re proud that they find us to be a great employer.”

Both GreenFields and Friendship Village are Life Plan Communities, providing a complete continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, memory support, skilled care, and short and long-term rehabilitation.
